Brewers United for Real Potables ("BURP"), incorporated as the National Capitol Homebrewing Society, is holding the Mid-Atlantic States Homebrewers CampOUT (MASHOUT) on August 19-21, 2005. In consideration for permission to enter the private property where MASHOUT is held, I hereby agree to the following:

• I understand that this is an outdoor activity and that there could be injuries or discomfort from the elements, animals, plants, and insects.
• I understand that there will be campfires and other objects that could cause burns.
• I understand that the ground is uneven and that there will be tent stakes, guy-wires and other objects that pose navigation and tripping hazards.
• I understand that alcohol will be available to participants on a self-serve basis. I am solely responsible for preventing any members of my party under age 21 from consuming alcoholic beverages.
• I understand that drinking alcohol and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol are not consistent with the law and public safety.
• I understand that excessive alcohol consumption may lead to serious health consequences for me, my family, and any minor guests, up to and including death.

Accordingly, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless BURP, its members and officers (collectively "BURP"), the property owners Chuck and Helen Popenoe (the "Property Owners") from any and all liability and harm arising from my activities and those of my family and minor guests related to MASHOUT, including travel to and from the event ("my MASHOUT activities"). As part of my indemnification of BURP and the Property Owners, I will defend BURP and the Property Owners against any threatened or filed legal action related to my MASHOUT activities, and will pay all legal fees, fines, judgments, and other costs incurred by them. This indemnification applies to any action threatened or taken by me, my family, minor guests, heirs, and executors or by third parties who allege that they were injured by me, my family, or minor guests. My indemnification obligation includes payment of all attorneys fees; should I fail to provide a defense, BURP and/or the Property Owners may defend themselves and I will be responsible for paying all legal fees, fines, judgments, and other costs incurred by them.

I knowingly assume the risks inherent in my MASHOUT activities. I hereby release BURP and the Property owners from any claims I might have against them related to my MASHOUT activities.

This agreement is binding upon me, my heirs, and my executors.
