Well, it’s past Labor Day, school’s are back in, and pools are closed, so I guess that means we’re unofficially done with summer. I hope everyone had a great summer and you’re getting ready to welcome fall and cooler weather. Believe me, I’m not wishing for winter by any means, but the cooler temps we’ve been getting lately is a nice change from the hot and humid 90s. Enough rambling about the weather, haha, let’s get into the monthly missive…
July’s Meeting – Clint Sandford’s house
BIG thank you to Clint Sandford for opening his home and his pool to us. Man, what a great day it was. It was hot and sunny, the perfect day for hanging in the pool and drinking home brew!
The Lawnmower Beer Comp had seven entries. Thank you everyone who brewed a beer for the comp. All the entries were great. Here’s the results, congrats to the winners!
1st Place – Mike Reinitz – Italian Pilsner
2nd Place – Chuck Hughes – Mexican Lager
3rd Place – Bill & Wendy – Polish Grodziskie

Remaining BURP meeting calendar for 2022:

We’ll be having this meeting at Clear Skies Meadery new location in Rockville on Gude Dr. Date is TBD, but will be the traditional early December, weeknight meeting, likely a Wednesday or Thursday (targeting the first week of December). Beer comp for the meeting will be Belgian Beers – popular vote.
BURP Dues – Are you in arrears on your BURP dues or do you know someone who is and not getting these emails? Log in to your account at burp.org and renew your membership.
- P.S. You can also contact our Membeersip Minister, Mr. Andrew Fowler, or corner him at the next meeting (he loves that), and inquire about your status.
COVID Related Info
Covid seems to be here to stay. Please be safe and cautious out there! BURP will continue to follow CDC and local guidelines (MD, VA, MoCo, Fairfax Co, etc). Please note, any changes in local or state guidelines could affect any of our meetings at a moments notice.

We have merch! Please reach out to Dave White via email if you’d like to buy anything. We’re also working on getting some new merch, BURP bottle openers, new “cups”, and other things. Stay tuned, likely a new survey coming around merch too.
